NIWO Transport Permit

It is mandatory to have a transport permit if you are active as a company in the professional transport of goods on the highway. The permit is also mandatory if you want to start a business in the professional transport of goods on the highway and are therefore an independent driver.

A professional transporter with a truck with a loading capacity of more than 500 kilos must have a Euro permit (previously and in regular language: transport permit). This loading capacity is stated on the registration certificate.

The transport permit must be applied for at the NIWO. This is the permit issuer for road transport and stands for National and International Road Transport Organisation.
