Incoterms

Incoterms stands for: ‘International Commercial Terms’ and are the international standard terms regarding the rights and obligations of the buyer and seller in the international transport of goods.

Variants of Incoterms

The Incoterms were last amended in 2010 (Incoterms 2010) and consist of the following variants:

For any form of multimodal transport:

  • EXW, Ex Works (ex works);
  • CPT, Free Carrier (carriage free to carrier);
  • CPT, Carriage Paid To (carriage free to);
  • CIP, Carriage and Insurance Paid To (carriage free including insurance to);
  • DAT, Delivered at Terminal (franco terminal);
  • DAP, Delivered at Place (franco on site);
  • DDP, Delivered Duty Paid (franco including duties)
  • Exclusively for transport by sea and inland waterways
  • FAS, Free Alongside Ship (free alongside ship)
  • FOB, Free on Board
  • CFR, Cost and Freight
  • CIF, Cost, Insurance and Freight
